Might of been the worst burger of my life. Shouldn't be able to screw up a burger unless your just awful.

Clean and relaxing. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. Just outside of the bustle of the main part of town. Food was average at best and a bit expensive for a lunch. The burger and sandwich menu is a-la-carte which means $7-8 for meal plus $3.50 for a side of fries. Fountain drinks are expensive with no refills. A conservative lunch for two with one appetizer and tip was over $40. Bottom line: nice atmosphere, decent food, but a bit pricey if you are on a budget.

Man everything in Door Country closes early. We were way too busy taking pictures and savoring the awesome fall foliage on display in DC and lost track of time. We tried knocking on several doors to get some dinner and eventually chanced upon this busy bar and restaurant in upper Door county that was still open at 10pm. Got some Fish Tacos which were decent enough for bar grub. The water they served us tasted decidedly fishy so we didnt touch that. Food was decent, but standard pub fare and a combination of mexican and american food.

Fun, funky, Speedy Gonzales has nothing on the waitstaff here! Family friendly, good size portions, I am so full.

We always go here when we visit Door County. Best margaritas ever! Fried cheese curds are good appetizer. Good fish tacos.

This place was just ok..... We needed lunch and this place was right there... Ok beer selection, I mean they do have my much adored Spotted Cow (Bonus Point). Everything was dull, like Sysco style food.

Wow - first to review this institution? We have dined here a number of times as it is a favorite of the kids. The place is casual and has pretty good Tex mex. I think the appeal is the bottomless bowl of chips and the very good salsa (you must like cilantro) and an additional hotter salsa (lots of cumin). We visited on a Monday night, not the busiest night which was nice as the wait can be long. The 9 of us were seated quickly, given menus and chips and passed cups with pitchers of water. I had the chicken enchiladas which are plentiful (3)and typical texmex. a favorite is the fish tacos but I didnt sample so cant comment. Another key item: there is boat parking as well.

4 of us enjoyed dinner at JJ's. Prompt service, good food, a great Door County dining experience. Frozen Margarita's add something special to the meal. Chicken and Veggie Fajitas are sizzling hot.

Place is always packed one of the great places you can bring the kids, be loud and have good casual Mexican food. Menu is huge, great drinks, if there is a wait in the summer the have an outdoor tiki bar. Down fall is you can barely walk thru so many tables.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
